Successful recovery after an accident
After a motor vehicle accident (MVA) many people experience whiplash, headaches, neck, back, extremity and recurrent pain. You may also experience changes to their mental health. If you were involved in an MVA and have reported the incident to ICBC, you qualify for care at our ICBC Active Rehabilitation Clinic in Victoria
As of April 1, 2019, if you’ve been in a car accident and have an ICBC active claim number, you are pre-approved for 12 Active Rehabilitation sessions.
This means you have access to services such as Athletic Therapy and Active rehab right away and up to 12 weeks from the incident, no need to wait and get a Doctors note!
If after the 12 sessions you need continued care, we work with ICBC to ensure you get the care and attention you deserve until you’re at maximal recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most frequent questions and answers
Are ICBC Kinesiologists the only ones that do ICBC active rehab?
No! Our Certified Athletic Therapists are approved by ICBC to do Active rehab and take you through a thorough assessment to provide you with the safe and effective exercises
What should I wear to my active rehab session?
Wear comfortable clothes for exercising and closed toe shoes. We also recommended bringing a refillable water bottle.
What happens at the first active rehab session?
Your first appointment will be an assessment. Your Athletic Therapist will ask you a series of questions about your body, your injuries, medical history and your goals. Armed with this knowledge they will assess how well you move, your range of motion (flexibility), strengths, and posture and may have time to prescribe some exercises for you. The assessment normally last around 1-1.25 hours.
Do you work with personal injury lawyers
