How Do We Get You Feeling Better?

IASTM or commonly known as Graston
Instrument soft tissue mobilization or IASTM for short is a simple, yet effective, manual therapy technique that will help you achieve better results. It’s not aggressive and does not cause excessive tissue damage or bruising. IASTM allows us to effectively work with scar tissue and other fascial restrictions. The technique is performed with a stainless steel instrument designed to detect and treat areas affected by soft tissue problems.

Deep tissue massage
This takes the standard gentle massage one step further to address pain, stress, injury, or those tight and knotted muscles. This is a favourite amongst athletes and who need a little extra pressure. This can really help with the range of motion for your joints and muscles and feeling like you have your range of motion back.
“Not so deep tissue massage” or Myofascial release
Do you react negatively to the standard or deep tissue massages? This is a very gentle technique that can provide huge benefits without having the “negative” problems from massage that are too deep. The technique involves having a gentle pressure on your skin so that you feel a mild “pull” or “stretch”. We work specifically with you and your comfort level.
Trigger point therapy
This is great for headaches, back pain, shoulder pain, and knee pain. Trigger points are points in the body that can cause pain in a muscle or referred pain elsewhere. For example, if we press a spot on the back of your shoulder, we can recreate the pain in the front that you came to see us for. If we press a spot on your hip, we can cause your knee or back pain. Reducing these troublesome spots can reduce your pain, give you the feeling of “blood or feeling” back to your body, and help you move easier.
This works well for back pain, headaches, shoulder tendonitis, knee pain, or foot pain.
